Model Decals are usually supplied with the kit you have purchased. However if you want to model a subject not covered by the kit decals, you will have to purchase what’s known as an after market set.
These decals are produced by a number of manufacturers:
These manufacturers make decals for aircraft and colour schemes that might not make it to the light of day otherwise. This is usually because either the colour scheme is too complicated to reproduce effectively by masking, or just too time consuming to contemplate cost effectively.
You can also buy after market kits to print your own decals, something I’m beginning to see quite a bit of.
